Everything Changes Photography
Photography is one of the few subjects that always seems so simple from the outside looking in, but once you immerse yourself within it, it takes on a whole new meaning. For many years, I couldn't have really cared less about a picture that someone took. Sure - I thought - it looks nice, that much I can appreciate. But what do people find so special about it?
As I grew older and toiled with more creative outlets, my mind seemed to naturally drift to the art of photography. I started by taking a few pictures of anything and everything; my photos would have more than likely been seen as pretty terrible to most people, but to me, each one meant and conveyed something far beyond their surface.
When I first read the line, "Photography excites us to the point that it makes us greedy to see more," (Heiferman), I felt a deep connection that I seldom experience. Ever single photo ever taken means something different to everyone, leaving us satisfied but with an exquisite craving for more. That is an aspect of photography - and even art in general - that has always left a wonderful impression on me, and quite honestly excites me.
